We’re massive fans of anything with ‘sock’ or ‘knit’ in the name, but with sludge, sleet, slush and other unpleasant words on the way, it’s probably time for a re-think.
Enter Adidas Originals, which has beefed up its popular adidas stan smith women sneaker with materials designed to cope with the grim weather and look good while doing so.
Adidas is currently riding the wave of a resurgence, thanks to its involvement with Kanye West and Pharrell Williams, new sneakers such as the NMD and Ultra Boost, and a newfound interest in the adidas originals eqt 93 and Superstar. But there’s another line from Adidas that’s been growing a strong following under the radar: Spezial.
This “Woven” pair sports exactly that across its upper, seamlessly incorporating the weaving and looming technique you were never able to master in your high school home ec class with ease. The colorway is the classic adidas eqt support 93, with the sneaker itself coming in entirely white with green details on the tongue label and the leather heel tab. Other details include a tonal set of laces and eyelets, with a unique pattern of perforations on the side panel which contrasts with the cork-ish pattern on the insole. Sure these sneakers are technically made with the court in mind, but a chic pair of shoes like these should never be constrained to your sporting life.
